    On page optimization techniques?

    Guys,
    I would like to know some good techniques on On page optimization?

    The techniques are:-
    1)Research and Select the right keywords.
    2)URL optimization.
    3)Update Content.
    4)Meta title and description.
    5)Use of H1,H2,H3 tags.

    Just an addition. Aside from updating your content, you need to make a connection or proper linking of your pages that are related to each other. This way, your visitors will be able to know which service/product is related to the other. This would include proper use of anchor texts (keywords) and achor links (connecting page).

    On-page optimization is basic and very first step of optimizing your site. It has a different factors like meta tag, Title tag, heading tags, Alt tags, anchor texts, site map creation. These all techniques are very useful for improving ranking of your site.

    look at a website as if it were made up of a lot of elements. then ask yourself.

    1. are the tags in place
    2. is the .htaccess file ok
    3. is the robots.txt file ok
    4. are my tags descriptive enough
    5. am I properly tagging my keywords
    6. are my tracking codes in place
    7. will my visitor enjoy the website?

    One thing that I'm trying to point out here is that you optimize your website for the search engines to rank it well but you still don't forget that you created it for your visitors. regardless of how good your on page is if you over do it or if you focus on doing it for the search engines, chances of earning through the content is very low. no point in ranking well in search engines if your content wont sell anything
